Nature School

Our girls LOVE going to the park. Our local department of Parks and Recreation is just wonderful! Their Naturalists offer FREE "Nature School" classes for Preschoolers and we also enjoy attending them. They hand out "explorer cards" to each student and after a certain number of classes attended, each student will earn a patch. They have new patches each year.

This particular class focused on fall. How and why the leaves turn on the trees as well as how and why animals prepare for winter. We learned about the different nuts found locally and even learned how to spot poison ivy on our nature hike. It was a wonderful class!!
